Okanagan Harvest is Globalgap certified. Which means we satisfy a very long list of qualifications on farm practices and safety procedures according to international standards. All of our workers are instructed in proper food handling and sanitary procedures and spend the summer in a very comfortable, clean camp.

We have completed their checklist and continue to strive towards pesticide-free products.

We use the softest chemicals possible.  Most of the spraying is a weekly feeding program with the occasional organic control. Cherry fruit fly (little white worms) is a major pest now controllable with an organic product. A major discovery over the years has been that healthy trees don't attract bugs....

The Enviromental Farm Plan vision is "a sustainable agriculture industry in BC" and lists "improving public perception of agriculture" among its aims. We have their sign on our packing house wall too. And we hope once you taste our cherries you'll agree we have improved the public's perception of agriculture!
